Ajay has set his sights on a college education after his astonishing achievement of completing high school.

For Ajay to complete high school and enter college is cause for much celebration.

This did not happen easily. He is from the Musahar community. see Wikipedia

His family home nestles by the road of a village in the State of Bihar.

Literacy rate in India keeps improving and is now 78% overall. There are pockets of communities like the Musahar where literacy is 8%.

Parents do not have the skills to help their children with school work, so most only get to grade five at the local government school.

Konnect Foundation was instrumental in helping Ajay. His family is part of a growing community of followers of Christ in his village.

His parents wished for Ajay to continue his studies so Konnect invited him to Lucknow to support him in completing Grade 12.

Konnect helped Ajay, along with other young men from the Musahar community, to gain the skills to succeed at school by providing support, good food, a structured environment, and encouragement.

Ajay is now enjoying studies at a university in Lucknow.
